Sight Running

Use the chapters at the bottom of the videos to skip to different sections – There are 3 speeds you can try.

Select a random hand position with all of your fingers in a row – eg. D Position DEFGA
If practicing your Right Hand, the circled notes will be your thumb.
If practicing your Left Hand, the circled notes will be your pinky.
If practicing Both Hands together, the circled note is Right Hand Thumb and Left Hand Pinky.
(Make sure both hands are in the same position an octave apart.)

Change your hand position after playing these and try again using different notes.
Don’t look at your hand once you start playing, only focus on the patterns in the music.

These examples will only use SKIPS and STEPS and you shouldn’t move your hand position once you start playing.
